Income & expense categories

The income and expense categories used in MTD IT templates are set by HMRC, not Capium. As a result, they may not exactly match the categories shown in Capium’s bookkeeping reports (for example, light and heat). All reporting must align to HMRC’s mandated categories.

 

 Using other software for quarterly updates
Yes — you can use another software provider to submit quarterly MTD updates, and then use Capium’s MTD IT module to complete the annual submission, including:

  • Revisions to previously submitted quarterly figures
  • The Final Declaration
  • Year-end adjustments and claims


 

The bridging function includes submission of the Final Declaration for MTD IT clients


For clients not subject to MTD IT, you can continue to use the standard Self Assessment (SA) module in Capium.
