Overview


This article explains how to submit a prepared annual report to Companies House from Accounts Production, and how to review the reports you have already submitted. It applies to practice staff filing statutory accounts for limited company clients.

Only Abbreviated and Filleted reports can be submitted to Companies House from Capium.


Before you start

  • The annual report has been prepared for the client and accounting period. See How to prepare a set of Accounts.
  • The report type is Abbreviated or Filleted. Other report types cannot be submitted from Capium.
  • Your gateway details are to hand if this is your first submission.

Submit an annual report to Companies House

Navigation > Accounts Production > Client Specific > Tasks > Submission History 

  • Go to the Submission History it screen using the path above.
  • Select Submit. The four-step submission process opens
  • Validate Report: Capium runs a pre-validation check on the report. If there are any issues, you are prompted with details. Resolve them before you continue.
  • Verify Report: Capium displays the prepared accounts. Review them before you continue.
  • Gateway Details: Enter your gateway details. This step applies if this is your first submission.
  • Submit to Companies House: Complete the submission.




It shows the details of Reports submitted to Companies House containing:

  1. Ref. No. of the report so submitted.

  2. From and to date showing the dates for which trial balance was prepared and hence the report.

  3. Type of report abbreviated or full with the name of the report in the description.

  4. Date of submission to Companies House.

  5. Status of submission

    • Pending: If the report has been submitted to Companies House but the response from Companies House is to be received.

    • Submitted: If the report has been submitted with the response received from Companies House.

    • Error: If there is an error after submission of the report then this status is shown.


Actions that can be taken on the report submitted:

  • Download Report as PDF: Report so submitted can be downloaded as PDF.

  • Download Response as PDF: Response to be received from Companies House can be downloaded as PDF on receipt.
