Location: Accounts Production > Client > Tasks > Trial Balance




Trial Balance is a bookkeeping worksheet in which the balances of all ledgers are compiled into debit and credit columns. A company prepares a trial balance periodically, usually at the end of every reporting period.




Once you are in the clients workspace under Tasks > Trial Balance, You can add/import a new trial balance by clicking on "+ Trial Balance".



Reference number of trial balance will be created by default  you can edit the reference as per your choice.

Description (if any) to be given to trial balance will come. 

Period of 12 months will be taken from the start date. Both of these dates are editable.

From and To are the dates for which trial balance is to be prepared will come. 

Mode of importing trial balance:

  • Bookkeeping

  • CSV Import

  • Manual Entry

  • QuickBooks Online Import

  • Xero Import


Bookkeeping 

This will take the data from bookkeeping  under Capium for the company for which report is to be prepared. 

This option is suitable only for the clients whose bookkeeping is maintained.


CSV Import

This option is used to import the ledgers and its balances in CSV format stored on the Local Computer.


Manual Entry

You may create trial balance by selecting the manual option and clicking on ‘import/create’ tab.

  • A new page appears where the details of account ledgers and their balance are to be filled.

  • The new item can also be added by clicking on’ Add New Item’.

  • Once all the details are filled and the total of Debit and Credit are equal you may save it.

  • On saving, trial balance will be added to the list on the main page.


QuickBooks Online Import

You can directly import a Trial Balance from QuickBooks Online. Upon importing those entries, you will need to map the Trial Balance according to Capium's Chart of Accounts


Xero Import 

You can directly import a Trial Balance from Xero. Upon importing those entries, you will need to map the Trial Balance according to Capium's Chart of Accounts
